After microwaved eggs and bagels for breakfast (can't afford a hotel and it's breakfast) we went to pick up our tandem and cycle.

We cycled a 20 mile round trip to the West of the centre of the canyon, to a place called Hermit's Rest.  No car's on the road (just Shuttle Buses) and saw deer and chipmunks.  Loads of viewpoints over the canyon and also cycling quite close to the edge at times - there seems to be very much a 'its at your own risk' approach to safety here.

After popping back to the hotel for dinner and a quick hot-tub, we watched the sunset at Hopi Point.  Then back to the hotel for a coffee in front of their large fireplace with loads of stuffed animals adorning the walls.
