Got up and drove to the only place in Winslow to have your photo taken - the corner made famous by the Eagles in 'Take It Easy'.  Then drove via Flagstaff and a scenic drive through pine trees at 8,000 feet, to the Grand Canyon.

The photos do it more justice than words, but safe to say it is spectacular.  Once we had escaped the majority of tourists near the visitor centre, we walked about 2 miles along the rim, stopping to look at the brave/idiotic people standing on cliff edges for photos.

Caught a bus back to the car.  We saw Mule Deer, a Chipmunk and Ground Squirrels.  Drove back to our nice hotel (via Wendy's for dinner) and had a swim and dip in the hot tub - very nice.
