Woke to sunshine but an increased wind.  The campsite is very dusty and everything quickly obtains a red covering.  Drove out to Boynton Trail which is associated with an energy vortex and hiked for a mile or so through cacti, bushes and rocks.  Sat a while at the top of the trail.  Then headed to Cathedral Rock Trail which is steeply up a 'mesa'.  Zoe got about halfway but it was getting very difficult to get foot holds so we sat and admired the view.  Finally over to Slide Rock where you can slide down the river over rocks (the name gives it away) but only a few brave individuals were trying out the cold water.  Back to the campsite for pasta and veg and another campfire.  Have decided to change to a hotel for the Grand Canyon - camping in -6C wasn't going to be pleasant!
