Woke early to another sunny day and left our peaceful beach side campsite. Drove around the Beara Peninsula, stopping at deserted Allihies Beach and a layby for breakfast. Glorious scenery all along the peninsula. Stopped at ALDI in Kenmare and then wandered around the small town and had a look at their (not very impressive) stone circle. Then onto the Ring of Kerry around the next Peninsula. Stopped (after a very narrow lane drive down to the car park for a mile) at Derrynane Bay Beach which is reckoned to be the nicest beach in Ireland by many. Sunbathed, paddled in the Atlantic and explored the island at the end whilst watching gannets dive into the sea for fish. Then a short drive to our campsite for the night - forked out on a proper site for the night but still wonderful views over the sea to the south.
