Woke to blue skies and set off following the Soča river, a lovely scenic drive past the Boka waterfall passing many commercial beehives (and wondered how our bees are doing in Wroughton).
Drove past Kobarid where we stayed in 22 and considered dropping in to visit Samantha the campsite cat, who would sit with us at the table (see photos from November 22 travels). Dropped into the Hoffer in Tolmin for supplies - the same one we stopped at in 22 as evidenced in Google maps (the Google car was passing at the time and we're in the photo,!). Stopped at Modrej Beach but there was no beach at all (??) but we sat by the river for a while anyway before continuing to Kanal ob Soči, a small medieval town on the Soča river.
Decided to camp here as it was by the river with a lovely view of the bridge. The river is now a shade of brown instead of the crystal clear water we had at Bovec only 31 miles away. Probably due to the heavy rain.
Sat out til the bridge lit up and watched the bats .
