Today tested the water fastness of our motorhome. Torrential rain, thunder and lightning from 10am. Incredibly noisy on the metal roof and a river flowing down the kitchen window. We did indeed have some water ingress (probably through the vents) as water leaking from under the fridge. Our Dutch neighbours went for a bike ride with roof windows open and awning out and we wondered what they'd come back to. The only bonus is a 10 degree reduction in temperature.

A break in the rain at midday so we ventured out for an hour's walk in the woods by the rivera Koritnica and got back just before the next lot of rain and thunder.

Have been reading about the deadly floods in Switzerland, North West Italy and France.

Chilled for the rest of the day.

Realise that most European children will be on holiday from 1st July and finding campsites may be a challenge from now on.
