Took another walk around Lago Di Braies at 10.30. Gorgeous views but lots of tourists. Set off unprepared again and there was a sudden downpour - got soaked to the skin .

No internet so headed down to the next big town for supplies and to plan our next step and we decided to head for the Tre Cime viewpoint where we enjoyed an hour's walk in stunning scenery.

From there we headed to a free camping spot with 360° dolomite views by Lago Antorno near a trail we'd like to do tomorrow (weather permitting). The weather is so unpredictable at the moment that packing wet weather gear will be essential.

By 4.30 the rain set in and the views were lost in cloud so we hunkered down for the rest of the evening.

When we last came in October 22 we had blue skies and empty trails, this time we'll just be catching glimpses when the clouds part - awe inspiring nevertheless
