Cycled to the Montréal underground station and caught a train to the Jardin Botanique. Wandered around and due to heat frequently stopping to sit in shady spots in the Chinese and Japanese gardens or listen to the green frogs by the lilly pond (sound like an out of tune guitar string). Took a taxi to Mont Réal where Montréal gets it's name from, for sweeping views of the city. Then took a bus down to St Joseph oratory, the largest shrine in the world dedicated to Saint Joseph and one of the largest domed structures globally. About 250 steps up.(the central aisle.reserved for those goingn up on their knees) and then 4 escalators up very odd like a shopping center.  Inside it was very modern.  A beautifully carved stations of the cross and some nice stained glass. The Votive Chapel holds 10,000 candles. Lit a candle.  Great views of the city too. After some fast food walked to the underground then cycled back to the campsite and saw some more of the cute marmotts.
