A day driving through California's majestic Redwoods.

Started off with a stop at the beach/headland near Kamath to watch seals playing/feeding in the sea near a river mouth. Also pelicans and cormorants in what was obviously a good feeding ground.

Then a drive through Prarie Creek Redwoods stopping to look at "Big Tree" and "Corkscrew Tree".

Stopped after at Lady Bird Johnson Trail to do the one mile loop up to where the Redwood Parks were dedicated in 1968. More huge trees in a cloud shrouded grove.

Drove further south to Humboldt Redwood Park where there is a 20 mile drive through Avenue of the Giants. Did a walk around one part where they have 350 feet trees in abundance. One 370 foot tree had fallen in 1997 and to see it on the ground goes you a true feel for its height and girth - amazing.

Tried o drive the car through a Redwood Tree but the hole was just too small for the rental car.

Then off on a windy road through the coastal range to the coast and our hotel in Fort Bragg.
