Started out from sunny, picturesque Stanley and stopped randomly on the way at Lake Stanley which was like a mirror reflecting the snowy mountains.  Also saw some deer, pronghorn antelope and a pair of Golden Eagles soaring over the road.

Then stopped on route 21 at Kirkham Hot Springs.  Thermal water emerges from the ground here and flows into the river.  On the edge, where the tow waters meet, they have natural hot water pools so we luxuriated in these for a while.  The water can be scalding hot but by using stones and pebbles, you can regulate how much hot water and cold river water gets into your pool!

Then on via the scenic route to Idaho City which is an ex-Gold rush town which is still "alive" but was mainly shut because it isn't tourist season yet.

Stopped in Boise for some food and to walk around a.park.  Zoe got soaked playing in the Splash Park but thoroughly enjoyed it.  Last leg was an hour to Ontario just inside Oregon.
