After watching cowboys heard cattle near our cabin, we set out at about 10:00.

Stopped in the small town of FIRTH.  Took pictures of the town sign, Firth High School, Firth Station and Firth Church (hey, how many times can you visit a town with your name?).

Then on to Craters of The Moon Monument (via an area where they tested large weapons during the Second World War and have done lots of atomic testing) to look at the lava fields that have been created by the Great Rift.

Took a walk into an 800 foot lava tube / cave which still had quite a bit of snow in it.  Very rocky path and Zoe slipped over once on the snow.  Also visited a coupe of splatter cones in the local fields.

Then drove the scenic route up to Stanley in the Sawtooth mountains.  Beautiful snowy mountains and fast flowing creeks.

Our motel in Stanley has a thermal pool 500 yards from the rooms, so we sat in there for 90 minutes.  It is warmed by natural heat (too hot almost) and looks out onto the Sawtooth mountains - awesome.  A nice meal in the next door restaurant finished the day.
