Not a long drive today but lots to see.

Started off with a 1.5 mile hike up to the top of a Mesa in Escalante Petrified Forest to see some fossilised tree trunks.  Not as many as the Petrified Forest in Arizona but worth the walk anyway.

Then on to Kodachrome State Park which has a selection of rock towers.  Had a nice mile walk on Grand Parade Trail which goes over dry river beds and around red canyon walls.

Finally on to Red Canyon to do the Pink Ledge Trail.  These are very vibrant red cliffs and hoodoos surrounded by pine trees and alpine flowers.  A lovely half mile or so.

Drove into Panguitch for dinner and then flopped into our motel for the next three nights.
