Left the fab campsite at Ohrid and drove through mountains, large chunks of which are being carved out for the new motorway, quite sad to see. Also saw some dolomite mines. Drove along the outskirts of Mavrovo national park, loads of minarets spotted in the space of a few miles and quite odd to see these looming in every small mountain village. A disproportionate number all the way to Matka gorge - must have seen at least 60 mosques. Miraculously found a parking space in the very busy Matka Gorge car park and took a boat ride up the gorge, stopping at the end at Vrelo cave made of limestone. Drove on to the Skopje camping spot (a car park). Nights are drawing in and sunset is at 4.30 here so didn't hang about. Interestingly road signs are in 3 languages and alphabets. English, Cyrillic and presumably Albanian?
