After feeding 3 dogs and a cat set off on the hour long journey through the hills to Ohrid. Decided on a legit campsite as we need their WiFi for planning and it was delightfully positioned right on the banks of the lake. The lake is very clear - saw loads of trout small fry - and at 300 metres it's one of the deepest lakes in Europe. After a cuppa by the lake walked into Ohrid old town, then over the boardwalk to Sveti Jovan church, up to the amphitheatre and down through narrow streets to the shopping street where there were lots of shops selling Ohrid pearls (a shell base coated in a paste of plasica fish scales). Finally stopped for a meal on the waterfront. A long walk back.
