Left Sofia late morning after waiting for the owner to fill our gas bottle. Stopped at Lidl then drove about an hour to Sapareva Banya, a hot spring resort. Spent a couple of hours soaking in sulfurous water, in one of 5 terraced pools with a lovely view, then did a couple of loads of washing in the almost empty campsite. One slight annoyance is that the chairlift at the 7 Rila Lakes, which we'd hoped to visit, is closed for maintenance. Lovely autumn colours currently - lots of yellow leaves.
