Headed towards Sofia and surprised at how unspoilt the countryside was (unlike Romania which seems to have ramshackle houses everywhere). Got to our car park, probably the least glamorous stop but secure at least, then took the no.15 tram (about 76p) to the centre. First walked past the National Theatre, looked n the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, then the Russian Orthodox church, the St George rotunda which was built in 400AD and the St Nedelya church. Then walked down past the presidents building and watched the changing of the guard. Then walked down a bustling shopping street into the garden of the National Palace of Culture. Stopped for a beer and took tram 5 back.
