Left St Omer at 9 and drove to Calais hoping for a earlier crossing. They offered us 12 but whilst in the 12 o'clock queue someone flagged us over to the 10.30 ferry - result!

The sea was like a millpond - could see hundreds of purple jelly fish. No "other" boats spotted despite favourable conditions.

Back in blighty, took us 3.5 hours to get to Swindon and the start of several loads of washing at Luce's and Mum's. The short washes at launderettes never quite get things properly clean. Lots to sort out before next leg of the trip.

Looking at our travel map we've created a heart and a lobster.

Very proud of Samantha and her new venture which went live today shesurfs.co.uk.
