Woken at 4.30 by an almighty storm - thunder, lightning and hail and the storm went on til 8am.

After a couple of scrambled oeufs we set off on our hike to the Skok waterfall. Lovely scenery but the "path" was more like an obstacle course with boulders, rocks and roots. After a 4.5 hour round trip we definitely felt it in the ankles.

Didn't see any bears apart from the wooden variety. Štrbské Pleso is a busy resort and was lined with stalls selling lots of hand made goods.

Didn't linger too long as storms were forecast and just as we arrived at our next pitstop (a €10 restaurant car park), the thunder and torrential rain started again.

Decided to treat ourselves to a meal in the restaurant as the park up was below budget. We declined the soup of the day - Tripe Soup!

A short walk before the Euros final and much pleading to "get Kane off".
