Already hot at 9am. As swimming was off the agenda, decided on a short bike ride to an arboretum. The 25 min journey actually took 50 mins as the satnav sent us inland up and down steep roads between vineyards. Men were doing gardening in their underpants, that's how hot it was.

Spent a couple of hours at the arboretum sitting in the shade enjoying views of Balaton with a nice breeze. Observing insect life there are some pretty scary looking bees. Lots of nice pine trees.

Cycled back the 3.5 mile flat route following the railway track and saw another couple of very old (probably communist era) trains pass.

Too hot to cook so had our very first lunch out (schnitzel n chips), before returning to the campsite.

At 3pm it was 31° so sat in the shade with the fan on trying to keep cool and Stuart did some marking.

Watched the England v Switzerland match and England won on penalties 🎉. Need to be somewhere with a good signal on Wednesday!
