Caught the bus into Verona (free as driver couldn't be bothered) and started our tour at Castelvecchio. Loads of old sites to see, mainly from Roman, 14th Century and 16th Century. Saw the Roman bridge, Arena, Duomo, numerous Piazzas and other churches. Also joined the tourists at Juliet's balcony (a made up location but fun nevertheless) and Romeo's house. We stumbled across a three day wine festival where you paid for tokens to sample wines from bars all around the centre, so our tour was accompanied by varied white and sparkling wines as we walked. Had a Calzone and Pork Focaccia for lunch. Caught the bus back (had to pay this time) and then took the Motorhome to LIDL to stock up on food for the next 4 or 5 days.
