Got a good early start from Williamsburg for the 4 hour drive south. Got stopped at one of the tunnels for not having our propane checked but nice patrol people let us off.

Stopped in Kitty Hawk to see the Wright Brothers memorial and markers where they took the first controlled powered flight. The markers show how short and slow the flights were but they’ve built a big memorial to them on the grassed sand dune where they practised with gliders.

Then on down the outer banks for another hour to our camp site on the ocean. Very breezy today but we took a nice walk along the beach at sunset.
