Didn't catch any mice in the traps under the bonnet overnight and after a couple of boiled oeufs left the golf course in rain and mist.
Driving through the forests it appears even to us colourblind folk that the trees are changing to autumn colours. Drove 2 hours to the Fundy Trail Parkway. $28 to drive this coastal road which was completed only 4 years ago. Stopped at some lovely viewpoints, very scenic despite the mist and drizzle. Logs were once floated down the big salmon river for shipbuilding.
Stopped in a layby to make some chilli before heading to St John to pick up some more mouse traps.
Then for the first time we're trying a "Boondockers" host for the night. People let you stay on their land for free out of simple generosity. This one, Mike, has a wife who had a stroke at 63 and now instead of travelling he says the world comes to him.
There is SO much space here in Canada but cheap provision for motorhomes is woefully inadequate, unlike France with its numerous €10 Aires. Tomorrow's campsite is setting us back £50! Outrageous!
Set 3 mousetraps tonight.
