Took the slow and windy route to Tongue on route 500 today.

First stop was Stoer lighthouse and then north to a hot chocolate cafe near Durness. The beach at Balnakell was lovel and we built a good sandcastle.

Then stopped at Smoo Caves which have been used since Viking times - part hollowed out but he sea dn part by a river.

Another beach stop at Caennabeinne beach which was almos deserted.

Finally drove to Tongue to our youth hostel
