Woke about 8 (Zoe about 10:30) and decided to leave the Motorhome at Disney and catch the train into Paris rather than try to find another site for one night. Caught the train to central Paris (nice double-decker) and wandered around the Louvre and nearby Gardens. Stopped at the official RWC shop in Place De La Concorde and then wandered on to Palace de Invalides. Very hot, so slow walking and lots of water. Carried on to Eiffel Tower and the Trocadero. Then metro to Sacre Coeur area to look at the night time views, cafes/painters and inside the cathedral. Then the late-night metro and train back to Disney, getting back to the Motorhome at around midnight again. Paris feels very different – touts trying to sell goods/drinks/tat at every tourist spot and lots of uncouth tourists. Also, the Monmatre Funicular Police trying to fine us when we had the right tickets, left a sour taste at the end of the day.  Shan’t be hurrying back to Paris – culturally, it is not the city it was.
