An early start because parking expired at 7am. Did our first and last supermarket shop in Serbia and set off for the border. Annoyingly the Hungarians not only took fingerprints but made us empty the garage and even had a sniffer dog inside. Arrived in Budapest in the fog and set off through the park then a bus then tram no.2 which had great views along the Danube. Then to St Lukacs thermal bath which was a traumatic experience. The outdoor pools were cool so people were crammed into the indoor pools and it was very noisy. Caught tram and bus to Budapest's oldest restaurant and had goulash serenaded by Gypsy violins. Lovely. You can cram a lot into half a day!
