Set of on bus 15 at 11am in the hope we could catch Tram 22 which circles the old town however this was under repair so we caught another (packed) bus to near the huge St Marks church . After we headed to the parliament building only to see a load of protestors and police with riot shields. We asked a passer by who said these were anti government protests. Apparently the corrupt government is selling Serbia off to places like china and last night there was a protest of 10,000 people which we missed. Stopped for a meal and then headed to the zoo. For £5 had a couple of hours wandering around. Not a great space for the animals but great for us - we were within touching distance of many including a huge tiger and lions which was amazing.
