Shelved plans for a boat trip due to winds and cloud (where's the calm sunny day forecast?) instead decided to drive around the peninsula, first stop Porto Koufo, then Skyias beach. The vista turned into hills of heather and gorse with beehives everywhere we looked. Also views of Mount Athos on the 3rd peninsula (the one where there are 20 monestaries and women are prohibited from visiting). Then onto Sarti and finally Orange beach, supposedly the nicest beach. Loads of noisy Germans and trash but very picturesque with clear water. Stayed for 3 hours then drove a very scenic route back. Stopped at the cliffs near the hotel to watch a lovely sunset.
