Had a good night's sleep on our secluded campsite and then caught a lift with the site owner into Mostar. Strange place - a mix of religions (Catholic and Muslim) so many memories of the civil war (ruined buildings and shell holes in many structures) and still the feeling that a lot of the people are living back in the communist days of Yugoslavia (shops very reminiscent of Poland in 1980). Walked the town including a graveyard with nearly all graves from 1993, over Stari Most (the old bridge) and watched a diver jump off the bridge. Had lunch and dinner in a restaurant overlooking the bridge and a Bosnian coffee in a small cafe. Some heavy rain storms. Got a lift back with the site owner - nice guy. The evening was punctuated by loud and frequent thunder and lightning accompanied by heavy rain - hope the river doesn't rise too much!
