Started off with a short walk to a lookout tower to see some birds. Then drove to Marco Island beach. The island is fulll of houses with private docks, so some pretty impressive real estate

Spent about 4 hours on the beach (lots of shells).

Drove back into the Everglades to stop at the lookout tower at sunset as lots of herons, egrets, ibis, etc. flew back to their roosts in a small area of trees - felt like a proper wildlife programme!
