Not too noisy a night in the boat yard forecourt, and left for the short drive to Mystic - an old whaling town on then Connecticut coast.
Spent 3 hours wandering the seaport museum. Like a skansen with lots of buildings and boats relocated here from the 1800s. Like a recreated village with all the boat elated craftsmen and a restored whaling ship amongst others. The school house was built 36 years before the one I was educated in at primary age,so all “old” things are relative.
After buying a couple of donuts from Deviant Donuts, we drove through Mystic and grabbed a couple slices of pizza from Mystic Pizza in honour of the film.
Then drove to the quaint old town of Stonington just down the coast. Lots of lovely houses and town squares. Picture perfect americana.
Finally a 90 minute drive across Rhode Island to a farm near Swansea for the night.
