Had a very good night's sleep in the Walmart car park. Set off, and in 3 hours passed through many different Wyoming terrains - dry grassland, rolling cattle country, through Ten Sleep rocky river valley, the Bighorn forest with views of snow capped mountains, up to the Powder River pass at 9666 feet where it was a comfortable temperature - 21° instead of 28°. Decided we'd stop in the cooler mountains and found a glade full of lupins and wild flowers (lots of flies too). Probably the most picturesque free spot we've had on this trip. Relaxed for the rest of the evening and had a camp fire.
