Slept well on the roadside and set off via a narrow windy road to find a dump station and cash point via a thrift store.

North on route 1 (very slow road) through Nanaimo and up to the North Island Animal Rescue Centre. Saw a bear, lots of birds and some rabbits. Kind of a sad place with injured birds.

Stopped briefly at the Goats on the roof shopping area but there were no goats. Crap.

Drove down to the beach to hopefully spend the night but couldn’t stay there, so went along route 4 for 5 miles and found an overflow campground car park in the forest.
