Headed a little North to Newport. It has a lovely working harbour and we walked around looking at shops and the boats for a couple of hours. Also spent some time listening and looking at the sealions which have their own jetty in the town centre- all males as the females apparently spend all year in California.
It started to get misty so we drove a bit further to Yaquina Head Lighthouse. There were thousands of Common Mulle birds nesting on the rocks and fishing in flocks on the ocean. Also lots of pelicans swirling around. So much wildlife.
Went back to Newport for a fish and chop and clam chowder (best so far) dinner overlooking the sealions.
Finally a little south to our campsite in South Beach State Park.
