Drizzle for most of the morning and into early afternoon but drove up to Lady Bird Johnson Grove in the Redwoods National Park an walked around a lovely grove of trees.

Then down to the lower level and walked around Big Tree (seriously, use a Thesaurus) and nearby - we visited here 8 years ago. Very mossy and loads of ferns as subject to sea mists. Stopped for a cup of tea and stroll on the black sand beach at Wilson Creek Beach - some pelicans kept us company.

Then a walk to Crescent City's Battery Point lighthouse overlooking the pacific. We were popping in and out of Tsunami zones all day - a reminder that any quake in the Pacific would hit this shore.

After refuelling at Denny's, we rolled up for the night at our KOA campsite just north of town.
