Had an undisturbed night in the roadside and left to head north via Aldi.

Drove into the hills where the California gold rush started in the mid 1800s, and past La Grange where we watched a rodeo 8 years ago.

Stopped at Columbia state park where they have preserved a gold rush town. Interesting to see how short lived the gold rush was.

Drove on via other town like Jamestown, Angels camp and Jackson. Very rolling green countryside with loads of cattle.

Got to the outskirts of Sacramento and stopped for dinner in a park with wild turkeys. Then into our boondocker kerb side parking for the night.
