Took the long drive around the south of the Sierra Nevada mountains. As soon as we created the top, the scenery changed to green and grassy rather than dry - rain shadow effect I guess. The railway crosses the mountain via a route that circles over itself - very Swiss.

Got to Visalia and visited some goodwill stores and had dinner at Chilli’s. Then a shopping mall before parking up for the night at a supermarket car park. Loads of cats kept us company.
