A very windy night and morning with advisory messages for high sided vehicles. We left around 12:30 and fought the winds for the first 80 miles.

The scenery got drier as we headed west and after two stops for petrol, we got to Big Bend National Park. Lovely scenery and we parked up in our campsite in the mountains at 5260 feet in Chisos Basin.

Took a brief walk to see the sunset and then looked at the stars in the clear night sky.
