A quiet night and left topped up with electric to head west.

Drove through downtown Houston to see if we recognised anywhere from out 8 weeks here 40 years ago - we didn’t!

Onwards towards San Antonio with a stop at a Dairy Queen for cold treats. Reached our Harvest Host ranch at 4pm. A real Texan smallholding with cats, dogs, pigs, highland cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits, a donkey and a goat. Had good chats with the owner about life in Texas.

Passed the 10,000 mile point in our trip today.
