Left fairly early in the morning and stopped for a short (icy) walk up to Cascade Falls in the town. Then walked to Box Canyon falls which thunder through a gorge. They've built some good access walkways to make it easier to visit.
Drove back to Ironton and Boz cross country skied around the 2 mile trail whilst I snow shoed the route. Really sunny weather for a good workout.
Stopped at the ice walls area on the way back where they were hosting the IIC Youth championships. Watched the climbers scrambling up the ice and rock in the time challenge - quite impressive. Seems a minority sport though - competitors from European countries and Mongolia! Sunderland even hosts a round of the championships.
Back at the house we watched the 59th Super Bowl which was a bit of a one sided anti climax.
