Decided to try cross country skiing today, so drove up to Ironton where they have prepared tracks. We skied (or mostly fell over in Stuart’s case) for 2 miles through trees and past the old mine buildings. Glorious sunshine and enjoyable although not as easy as it looks.
Drove back into Ouray and soaked in the hot springs for a couple of hours, looking out at the mountains. Very picturesque and quite hot at 104•F
A chilled evening with the cat watching The Shining which is set in the Rockies.
