A very hot and muggy night with loads of fireworks for the new year

Drove to the alligator farm in Homestead and had an air boat ride, seeing alligators, large iguanas and many birds. Good fun and not too wet.

Then saw the alligator feeding and got to hold 18” long alligators. They also had many other animals including a very talkative parrot.

Stopped a bit further north for iHop and petrol.

Drove west through the Everglades seeing many alligators and birds along the road side in the swamps. One large gator was also trying to cross the road.

Ended up in Fort Myers in a church car park right next to the beach and watched the sunset from the sand.
